FAQ

Question #1: "What makes a great stringjob?"

Answer:

We use the recommended Yonex 2-piece string patterns, strung bottom to top, when possible
Correct stringing pattern

Correct String Pattern

We always follow the Yonex recommended stringing patterns. For traditional rackets without extra holes, we follow the Yonex string pattern for "other" rackets.

Proper knots with sufficient-length tails pointed outward, no crossovers or misweaves
Racket presentation

Presentation

We take the time to ensure all rackets are strung properly, avoiding crossovers, misweaves, string damage and/or kinks, knots made properly, cut to the correct length and pointed outward towards the frame every time. No rushed jobs over here!

Proper tension can be achieved consistently with a constant-pull stringing machine
Proper tension

Proper tension, no distortion

We use a high quality Gamma 6-point fixed clamp stringing machine with a WISE 2086a electronic tensioning head with pre-stretching capabilities to achieve the specified string tension, without any racket distortion.

Question #2: "Is it spelled RACKET or RAQUET?"

Answer:

(Excerpt taken from wikipedia)
Racket is the standard spelling of the word. Racquet is an alternative spelling used more commonly in certain sports (squash, racquetball, badminton) and less commonly in others (tennis). Racket is the preferred spelling in tennis. While some writers, especially those outside North America, prefer the French-influenced racquet, racket is the predominant spelling by a large margin. Similarly, while some believe that racket came about as a misspelling of racquet, racket is in fact the older spelling: it has been in use in British English since the 16th century, with racquet only showing up later in the 19th century as a variant of racket.

Player type:   Competitive (Provincial A/B/C)
Preferred racket:   Yonex Voltric 80
Preferred String:   Yonex BG65 Titanium at 26 lbs

Comments:  I used to get my stringing from some other place, and it would often times break really quickly and feel quite soft and lose tension really fast. But now I get my rackets strung by Racketpro, and service is reliable and quick and the strings feel much better.

J. Miron

Player type:   Competitive (Provincial Junior)
Preferred racket:   Black Knight MaxForce 933
Preferred String:   Ashaway Zymax 67 at 26 lbs

Comments:  No need to go to sports shop anymore to have my racket strung. Now, I just need to give it to Racketpro, and without having to pay too much, I can have my racket strung properly in less than 2 days.
